The Search: This is a “lighter” series, if you will, that gives a good overview of our faith. There are 7 videos about 20 minutes each.
Symbolon: This is a more in-depth series with 10 videos around 30-40 minutes each that go into the beginnings of the Church to the present. |
FORMED & ON-GOING FAITH FORMATION
You now have access to our FREE Faith Resource called Formed that is produced by the Augustine Institute. Enter our Church information (Sacred Heart Church -or- 96822) when prompted, and your account will be free (click to sign up). Having a deeper understanding of our faith is always encouraged and never really stops. Catholic Tradition and Doctrine is so rich and extensive. Formed does a great job of curating content that is easy to understand and digest like the two examples to the left (click each picture to view). They also have some content made for children. We encourage you to download the Formed app (available on Apple and Android devices) to enhance your experience in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. If you are interested in in-person Faith Formation meetings, our OCIA (formerly RCIA) group meets on Sundays from 8am to 10am in the Rectory Dining Room. They also attend mass together at 9am. Even if you are already a fully initiated Catholic, all are invited to take part in fellowship and discussion. We also have various faith fellowship opportunities that are announced throughout the year. |
SACRED HEART CHURCH BULLETIN
Another resource that is often overlooked is our Bulletin. The articles that are provided [either by outside sources, Father EJ, or any of our Seminarians] give insight to the weekly gospel message as well as nuggets of information that you may have yet to learn. Please consider subscribing to our bulletin here and having it sent to your email inbox. We also include information in the email body that may not necessarily be in the bulletin. Additionally, we send out any urgent/immediate notices to those who are subscribed. |
MONETARY DONATIONS
Monetary Donations are always appreciated in the life of the Church. It is the main source of income that keeps our ministries and Church going to serve the greater Community. If you noted that you are interested in receiving envelopes on your Registration Form, you should be receiving them within the next couple months. A set of envelopes gets sent out monthly to your listed address. If you would like to setup one-time or regular donations online, you can go here to setup your Online Giving account. We process donations through a software company called Vanco. You can click the logo above to learn more about them.
Should you have any questions regarding any monetary donations, you are welcome to contact Noel Simbajon, our Business Office Manager, at nsbimajon@rcchawaii.org. He is more than happy to answer any questions you may have. |
