Father EJ Resinto
Father EJ Ikaika Resinto was ordained a Priest for the Diocese of Honolulu on July 9, 2016. He was first assigned as Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. He was named pastor of Sacred Heart Church and Maryknoll School in January 2019.
Father EJ was born and raised on the island of Kauai. He is a graduate of Kauai High School Class of 2005. After graduating High School, Father EJ was enrolled in the Culinary Arts Program at Kauai Community College. During this time he began to discern his call to the priesthood and entered Mount Angel Seminary in Oregon to finish his college education. Father EJ has a B.A. in Philosophy from Mount Angel Seminary. Father EJ continued his Theological Studies at St. Patrick Seminary and University in California where he obtained an M. Div and S.T.B.
Father EJ enjoys cooking, hiking, and tending to his plants in his free time. One of the many highlights of his priesthood is being able to minister to the students of Maryknoll School.
